#ONmlesARTS Honors Cultural Workers

#ONmlesARTS celebrates cultural workers and artistic discoveries from Ontario’s Francophone scene.

Ottawa, September 23, 2024 – Every October, Ontario resonates with the diverse artistic and cultural expressions of its Francophone community. Launched in 2019, the Month of Francophone Arts and Culture in Ontario has become a tradition uniting enthusiasts of creativity and cultural heritage. This year, Alliance Culturelle de l’Ontario invites you to actively participate in the #ONmlesARTS movement throughout the month of October, to celebrate not only the arts in all its diversity and forms but also the cultural workers who support our dynamic sector.

#ONmlesARTS: Celebrating Art and Cultural Workers

At the heart of this celebration is the hashtag #ONmlesARTS, a central rallying point for Francophone culture enthusiasts on social media. In 2024, the campaign takes on a new dimension by particularly highlighting the professionals in the arts and culture sector. Alongside sharing your artistic and cultural discoveries, we encourage you to celebrate the workers such as technicians, administrators, and other professionals – those who make this cultural vibrancy possible.

How to Participate

Joining the #ONmlesARTS campaign is simple and accessible to everyone. Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Share on Social Media: Use the hashtag #ONmlesARTS to share your artistic creations, memorable cultural moments, or personal favorites throughout October. This year, add a message to recognize or thank the cultural workers who have impacted your artistic journey.
  2. Celebrate Arts Workers: Shine a light on the professionals in your community who contribute to Franco-Ontarian culture. Whether through a social media post, a special dedication, or a testimonial about their impact, every gesture helps to highlight their contribution.
  3. Link Your Activities to the Month of Arts and Culture: If you have cultural events or activities planned for October, be sure to promote them in connection with the Month of Francophone Arts and Culture in Ontario. Use this opportunity to emphasize the importance of the teams who make these events possible.
  4. Explore Our Blog: Throughout the month, the Alliance Culturelle de l’Ontario will publish articles highlighting some cultural workers. Follow our blog and social media to discover their inspiring stories.

A Month of Art, Culture, and Solidarity

The Month of Francophone Arts and Culture in Ontario is more than just a celebration of artistic achievements. It’s an opportunity to emphasize the importance of solidarity within our cultural ecosystem. A vibrant cultural scene relies on the collaboration and commitment of all its actors, from artists to technicians, administrators, and volunteers. By recognizing the crucial role of cultural workers, we contribute to strengthening and enriching this entire system. Their support and dedication are essential to making our Francophone culture shine. Let’s celebrate this solidarity that makes our vibrant artistic landscape possible.
